The nominations for the 17th Annual Star Screen Awards are out and it is surprising to learn that Dabangg and My Name Is Khan, two blockbusters of 2010, are missing from the Best Film nominations. However, both Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan are, as expected, contending in the Best Actor category for their performances in above mentioned movies. A case was filed Friday in an Uttar Pradesh court against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is also the host of the Bigg Boss 4 show, the producer and director of the reality show and some of the contestants over its vulgar content, an official said. The case was filed in a court in Aligarh district under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 293 (sale of obscene objects), 294 (obscene acts and songs), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy). It was filed in the chief judicial magistrate's (CJM) court on an application filed by an Aligarh-based lawyer Anoop Kaushik. Kaushik Friday moved the complaint application against airing of the reality TV show Bigg Boss 4 on Colors channel. "Besides Salman Khan, who hosts Bigg Boss, and five contestants of the reality show, the case has also been filed against MD of Colors channel, and the director and producer of the show," Kaushik told reporters in Aligarh, some 350 km from Lucknow. Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor maintains he never said he was desperate to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, but admitted he would love to work with the superstar if a good project came his way. “I had no such dil ki tamanna (heartfelt desire) to work with Shah Rukh sir. Imran khan ran into trouble with the custom authorities at the Mumbai airport recently, while on his way back from new York. Reason: His toy helicopter which actually runs on wi-fi. Last week was dull in Bollywood. There was not even a single release. Dabangg was released two week ago (September 10), so film buffs were looking forward to the release of Anjaana Anjaani featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. However, the pending Ayodhya verdict spoiled it all. Anjaana Anjaani was supposed to be released on September 24 but was postponed to October 1, as the Ayodhya verdict was supposed to be announced on the same day. This threw Bollywood release dates into a haywire. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court deferred the Ayodhya verdict to October 28. Now, Anjaani Anjaani will clash with Rajinikanth-Aishwarya Bachchan starrer The Robot, which has been simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. Following this development, Aakrosh, which was scheduled for release on October 1, has been postponed to October 8. Bollywood could suffer even more if the court defers the Ayodhya verdict further.
