Last week was dull in Bollywood. There was not even a single release. Dabangg was released two week ago (September 10), so film buffs were looking forward to the release of Anjaana Anjaani featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. However, the pending Ayodhya verdict spoiled it all.
Anjaana Anjaani was supposed to be released on September 24 but was postponed to October 1, as the Ayodhya verdict was supposed to be announced on the same day. This threw Bollywood release dates into a haywire. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court deferred the Ayodhya verdict to October 28.
Now, Anjaani Anjaani will clash with Rajinikanth-Aishwarya Bachchan starrer The Robot, which has been simultaneously made in Tamil and Telugu. Following this development, Aakrosh, which was scheduled for release on October 1, has been postponed to October 8.
Bollywood could suffer even more if the court defers the Ayodhya verdict further.
