Mirch a; comedy Dir: Vinay Shukla Cast: Konkona Sen Sharma, Raima Sen, Arunoday Singh, Shreyas Talpade, Shahana Goswami, Rajpal Yadav, Sushant Ray, Prem Chopra and Boman Irani Movie: ** Mirch Movie About? Although we have seen a lot of films telling several short stories that come together in the end Life In A... Metro, and Love, Sex And Dhoka this one is different. It's a film within a film. It's a tongue-in-cheek look at the film industry and the struggle faced by B-Town writers. A struggling writer Maanav (Singh) is trying to sell his script to a producer (Ray). He narrates four stories, inspired from various classics ranging from Amar Chitra Katha to Boccaccio's Decameron all based on the theme of adultery, committed by married women. The stories are sexy, naughty and writer-director Vinay Shukla binds these love affairs with one common subject infidelity. What's HOT: Kudos to the director for picking a unique subject. The writing is clever and h

Konkona, Raima, Mahi in India’s first ‘unashamedly lusty film’

‘Godmother’ director, Vinay Shukla is ready with India’s first film in the erotic genre, Mirch. With talented actresses like Konkona Sen Sharma, Mahi Gill, Shahana Goswami and Raima Sen, in the flick, Vinay describes Mirchi as a serious sex comedy. He also says, “Mirch is India’s first film in the erotic genre”. It is not a slapstick like many other Bollywood films on adultery. Its humour is more about wit and intelligence. The actors are seen kissing, sharing the same bed and even massaging. There is a scene similar to the one in Titanic, but in Mirch, the hero does body paint literally. The film has four stories and all deal with one storyline, “A woman is caught red-handed with her lover by her husband and yet, she manages to wriggle out of it scot-free!” The movie is a celebration of womanhood, and at a deeper level,

Masand's Verdict: Dil Kabaddi a shameless rip off

Cast: Irfan Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Rahul Bose, Konkona Sensharma, Rahul Khanna Director: Anil Senior Like Woody Allen's sharp ensemble piece Husbands And Wives -- of which it is a shameless, shameless copy -- Dil Kabaddi is a biting satire on marriage and fidelity. Propelled by its characters and the shifting dynamics of their relationships, the film abandons the conventional three-act structure in favor of a more fluid narrative. Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan play a couple that has decided to amicably separate after two years of marriage. This news comes as a shock to their seemingly happily married best friends, played by Rahul Bose and Konkona Sensharma, who, encouraged by their friends' separation, decide to pursue their own individual desires. Whacking not just the premise, but practically every plot point and every scene from the original film, Dil Kabaddi follows each of the four characters as they head out to seek happiness. Irrfan literally jumps into a sexually lib
