Now Rani is hell bent upon proving her detractors wrong with her new film No One Killed Jessica (No One Killed Jessica). “I feel bad when people say that Rani Mukherjee is finished. My career is already made. Nobody can make or break my career. It is my fans who decided to make me a star. The only thing that will break me is when the love of my audience won’t be there with me and the fact that they don’t want to see me in films,” she is quoted as saying by a news agency. Her role in No One Killed Jessica, is totally different from the one she played in Dil Bole Hadippa. Here she plays a journalist. “As they (audience) love me so much

Rani’s Middle Finger Act offensive for Family Viewers

A scene in No One Killed Jessica which has Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee showing her middle finger in an office corridor has run into trouble with the Censor Board. The board found the promo unsuitable for family viewing solely because of the scene that shows Rani, brandishing her middle finger to someone. Censors are insisting it be screened only if Rani’s middle finger is blurred. This decision has inturn come as a shock to the director, Raj Kumar Gupta, and the producers, UTV. “I am very disappointed. Rani Mukherjee sets good example on TV show

Rani Mukerji, who debuts on the small screen as the judge of Sony TV's new reality show "Dance Premier League", impressed the whole unit with her punctuality and professionalism. "She was there dot on time, ready with make-up on before some of the other celebrities had even arrived in the studio. Once on the sets, she proved her total professionalism," said a source from the show. "More than that, she has proved that she is a perfectionist. Even before the director could decide he needed another take, she called for it herself and redid the takes until she was satisfied with the result. It definitely pays to work with Aamir Khan at the beginning of one's career. After all, a leaf from his book will only hold good," added the source.

Madhuri Dixit refuses offer to judge “Dance Premiere League” show

Madhuri Dixit has backed out of being a judge on the reality show “Dance Premiere League”. The channel guys were successful in roping in dance diva Madhuri Dixit to be a judge on the show. However, they were not successful in getting a nanny on the show to take care of her two sons, 24/7. Hence Madhuri decided to let the offer go. Having hosted a wedding show several years ago, this would have been a comeback for Madhuri Dixit on television. But given her priorities, she had first laid down the condition that the channel should arrange for a nanny who would stay on the sets with her children. When this condition was not fulfilled Mads left the show. Now Rani Mukerji has been called to take her place. After the failure of “Dil Bole Hadippa”, Rani does not have many projects. She wanted to try something new and this gives her a real good opportunity to make her presence felt. This also marks debut on television.

Rani Mukherji: I can't afford an IPL team

Rani Mukherji took tips from Shah Rukh Khan to understand cricket for her role in Dil Bole Hadippa, but Rani Mukherji has no intention of following her good friend's footsteps by bidding for an Indian Premier League (IPL) team. "I can't afford it... I don't have so much money. There is no chance that I can buy an IPL team," Rani told IANS in an interview in New Delhi. "Right now I don't even think that I can take up so much responsibility because everything of that sort means more responsibilities. I am quite happy doing what I am doing right now," she added. IPL is quite popular among Bollywood stars - while Shah Rukh owns Kolkata Knight Riders along with Juhi Chawla, Preity Zinta has Kings XI Punjab and Shilpa Shetty bought stakes in Rajasthan Royals along with boyfriend Raj Kundra. Salman Khan too is reportedly going to bid for a team this year. Leave alone IPL, Rani says a big "no-no" to venturing into other facets of filmmaking, such

Dil Bole Hadippa Review

Cricket, like Bollywood, is an addiction for a wide majority of Indians. DIL BOLE HADIPPA tries to capture the spirit of the game and the aspirations of a sportsperson, who's keen to play for her pind . On paper, the concept, which bears an uncanny resemblance to SHE'S THE MAN, sounds interesting, but the problem is its writing, which is tame and mediocre. Let's elaborate. The plusses, first... It's mandatory for cricket-based films like LAGAAN and VICTORY, which conclude with a cricket match, to have a thrilling finish. DIL BOLE HADIPPA too has a awe-inspiring end. Also, the story of an ordinary girl who aspires to play cricket for the national team is motivating, with Rani Mukherji handling her part with complete understanding. But there's a flipside too. The romantic moments between Rani and Shahid Kapoor lack fizz. Even the assorted characters in the film, like Sherlyn Chopra, Vrajesh Hirjee and Rakhi Sawant, contribute nothing to the film. They're mere prop

Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini

Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini In Dil Bole Hadippa Believe it or not, but the whole ‘bikini top ‘n’ skimpy shorts’ avatar in short — flaunting Rani Mukerji’s hot new bod wasn’t her idea. Not even the producer or director had anything to do with it. After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc.

Salman Khan & Rani Mukherjee Dance moves on 10 Ka Dum

Everyone knows that Salman Khan likes his girls to dress modestly read no revealing clothes. So whenever his heroines arrive on the sets of his show 10 Ka Dum in sexy dresses, he ribs them. Says a source present on the sets, "Rani Mukherjee had everyone gasping when she walked in dressed in her little black number. Salman wickedly suggested some dance moves for her which he knew would be impossible to do in that micro mini." He'd pulled the same trick on Shilpa and Kareena too. The only person spared was girlfriend Katrina Kaif maybe because she knows him and came dressed in a simple T-shirt and jeans.

Rani Mukerji's feeling Hadippa!

Rani Mukerji’s hip and happening and back with a bang! Not just on screen, with her latest film Dil Bole Hadippa ready for release, but also on the air waves... which she burned in a rollicking chat show live from Mumbai’s No. 1 radio station the Radio Mirchi studios recently. Listeners of the popular station lapped it up eagerly as Rani’s husky voice narrated to RJ Suren of Sunset Samosa how she plays a boy ‘Veer’ and a girl ‘Veera’ in the film just to live out her small town dreams in 70mm. Then, the actress chatted with winners of a Radio Mirchi contest and tested their linguistic skills by asking them to say the Punjabi words of some of the foot-stomping music from the film. RJ Suren asked, “Rani Mukerji, what does Hadippa mean?” And she replied, “It is an expression of excitement. Dil Bole Hadippa! means that my heart is very happy and excited.” Next question: What is the interpretation of Disco Wale Khisko? And, promptly came the sexy reply, “India has amazing music, full of ener
