Hema Malini and Jeetendra To Judge Reality Show

Its raining reality shows and yet another show is Dancing Queen to be launched on the channel Colors. The promos show that they are going to choose who makes the best Item girl. I was rather surprised to see Hema Malini and Jeetendra appointed as judges. Okay, Hema is a trained classical dancer but for dance of this type I expected to see Helen or Bindu on the judges seat. Wonder what Jeetendra is going to judge there. He looks out of place there just like Chunkey Pandey who judged a reality show. Anyway, there are some interesting participants which include some infamous names from Tellywood and flop actresses of Bollywood starting from Barkha Bisht, Mink, Sambhavana Seth, Meghna Naidu, Anita Hassanandani, Shweta Menon, Sanober Kabir, Ishitta Arun, Bruna Abdullah and Deepshikha. Lets see if cabarets, item performances and skin show can get them good TRPs. (Dont forget to notice Jeetendra’s jet black hair.)

Watch out: These stars are out to make history

Mumbai: We’ve seen Hema Malini as Razia Sultan and more recently Hrithik Roshan as Akbar and Aamir Khan as Mangal Pandey. But given a chance which historical or mythological character would our stars like to play? CNN-IBN decided to quiz Bollywood stars on whom they would like to impersonate on screen. "I would like to play Hanuman because i think it will be quite interesting and entertaining,” says Shahid Kapur. Shahid may find competition in Vivek Oberoi who too wants to play monkey god. "I am a big hanuman fan. Since a kid I have loved his stories and felt fascinated with a sense of humour that he has had. The innocence and the sense of might within the characters that he has and he doesn't even know he has it. And sometimes, he becomes a kid, sometimes a powerful person. I think he is my favourite,” he says. Amongst the ladies, Mandira Bedi wants to do nothing less than ride into a battle on horseback brandishing a sword. "Well, I believe I am a bit of a fighter...

Some bloggers want to see the RJD strongman from Bihar act in films. There are some who would like to see the ebulient silver haired minister do something to lift the "confidence of Biharis." While Lalu speaks of his fascination for actress Hema Malini and willingness to act in a film in his first blog and then touts railway's success story and gives his views on inflation in the second post, the RJD leader is cornered mainly by demands for better railway facilities. In pics: Cakes and candles for Lalu's birthday SOSs too find their way with the minister's intervention being sought for confirmed accommodation in trains. Ramesh Sippy Produced - Sholay 1975

When Sholay was released in 1975, he broke records at the box office, and even today, if you adjust for inflation, it is the big box-office employee of all time. This is the film that launched Amitabh Bachchan's career into orbit and made him a superstar. And when I talk to friends in South Asia and colleagues about Indian films, they inevitably bring Sholay, as in: Have you seen it yet? You have to see. It is a big one. You have seen Sholay, right? Well, I had not until now. After all the hype, I must say that I finally feel a little disappointed to discover that this is nothing more than a remake of The Magnificent Seven (1960, USA) with a couple of musical numbers thrown stupid in.
