Amir Khan Says May 'Dabangg' make more money than '3 Idiots'

"Dabangg" should make 10 times more money than "3 Idiots", a gracious Aamir Khan said at a party thrown by his friend Salman Khan to celebrate the success of the cop comedy. "I am very happy that Salman's 'Dabangg' got such a big success. That's why I have come to give him a hug and congratulate him. I would always pray that his film makes 10 times more than what '3 Idiots' did," Aamir told reporters at the success party of the film held at Vie Lounge Sunday night. Report says in two week "Dabangg" has made business of Rs.116 crore net and third week has opened well in the single screens. The film revolves around a corrupt cop Chulbul Pande, played by Salman, and his life. Is there anybody out there who hasn't seen " Dabangg"? Seems unlikely. For, according to trade pundits, the film has now entered the hallowed portals of the Bollywood box office greats as the seventeenth highest grossing film of all times. Its dream run includes people who have seen it twice, some even thrice. The top grosser list sees it sharing space with some of the industry's biggest success stories which include films like "Mother India", "Mughal-e-Azam", "Sholay", "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge", " Ghajini" and " 3 Idiots". Incidentally, this happens to be the fourth blockbuster in gilt-edged list that features Salman Khan as the hero. The other three are "Maine Pyar Kiya", "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun" and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", where Salman merely had a cameo role.
