A scene in No One Killed Jessica which has Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee showing her middle finger in an office corridor has run into trouble with the Censor Board.
The board found the promo unsuitable for family viewing solely because of the scene that shows Rani, brandishing her middle finger to someone. Censors are insisting it be screened only if Rani’s middle finger is blurred. This decision has inturn come as a shock to the director, Raj Kumar Gupta, and the producers, UTV.
“I am very disappointed. The trailer should be seen in the right context and not in isolation”, said a harrowed Rajkumar Gupta.
The movie has Rani playing a headstrong journalist who takes up the case of Jessica Lal murder after the acquittal of the prime accused. Rani’s character also smokes and uses foul language in the film.
