Ishqiya goes to River Florence film fest



Ishqiya has been selected in the 10th River to River Florence Indian Film Festival that will be held at Florence in Italy.

The film starring Vidya Balan, Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah is not only a success in India but has also received recognition world wide. With the increasing popularity of Ishqiya, Bollywood too is making its presence felt to the world.

Ishqiya has earlier participated in Munich – International Film Festival, Melbourne International Film Festival, IFFL, Bollywood and Beyond, The Indie Fest, 34th Cairo International Film Festival and Dainik Jagran Film Festival.

Hiren Gada from Shemaroo, the banner that produced the film, is glad that their efforts are recognized worldwide. "The film has traveled across the boundary of language and culture differences and has been appreciated in every festival it has participated in."

River to River, Florence Indian Film Festival is held at Florence in Italy every year. The festival had its first edition in October 2001 at the Rondò di Bacco Theatre of Palazzo Pitti in Florence. The aim of the festival is to promote only films from and about India, and it is the first Festival of this kind in the world. This year the festival is scheduled from 3rd to 9th December 2010.
