Vidya Balan’s enriching experience in Cambridge

Vidya Balan felt a deep connect with the campus Vidya Balan proved to be more adventurous than her sedate image suggests. While shooting for R. Balakrishna's "Pa" in Cambridge, she fell in love with the place and disappeared. The story goes that the crew returned to India without her. "It's nothing so dramatic. Yes, I did stay back in Cambridge. I simply had to. I had no choice," Vidya, who has teamed up with Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan in the movie, told IANS. "I just couldn't help it. Just being in Cambridge shooting was not enough. I felt a deep connect with the campus and the environment. I just wanted to walk around the campus with books in hand, so I'd look like a student," she said. "Luckily, I've a friend in Cambridge. I stayed with my friend and her husband. It was the most enriching experience of my life. Just the air and the feel of the place is so special." Vidya now intends to buy herself a quiet escape route. &

Has Bollywood lost style?

Vidya Balan who has received accolades for her dance performances was seen attending actress Shobana's dance event. We guess dancers like to support each other and that's why actresses Jaya Prada , Juhi Chawala and Hema Malini were also seen at the event. Vidya has received alot of flak for her dressing style, but apparently she has not taken this criticism seriously. Vidya was seen wearing a very non stylish and loud green salwar which looked extremely unflattering. Vidya please hire a good stylist. Apparently dancers may also share another thing in comon, there loud unflattering dress sense. Does Jaya share the same stylist as Vidya? Well that's probably why Jaya too turned up wearing a disastrous looking, old fashioned purple salwar. However Jaya can be excused as she is rarely seen in bollywood films now and is concentrating on political career. That definitely explains the outfit. Looks like it was the reunion for the 'old girls' when Jaya Prada, Juhi C

Vidya wishes to kill SRK’s wife

Unquestionably, Shahrukh Khan is the king of Bollywood and he has many fans all over the world. One of his die-hard fans is the utterly vivacious Vidya Balan who is believed to go to any extent to achieve him. Recently, Vidya has humorously made a shocking statement that has left everyone wondering as to how she could remark on Shahrukh’s wife Gauri Khan . Vidya said that she would even kill the actor’s wife, Gauri Khan , for getting SRK , the man of her dreams. Vidya has made this dare-devil statement while chitchatting with Sajid Khan on the TV show 'Sajid’s Superstars' with whom her name has been linked up. It is known to all that Shahukh has a huge female fan following but it was not known to all that he has got such an admirer inside the industry itself. Now that Vidya has expressed her liking for Shahrukh. Filmmakers may have started drafting scripts to cast Vidya opposite Shahrukh.

SRK's voiceover for Kismat Konnection

Shah Rukh Khan always stands by people close to him. Director Aziz Mirza is one such person—he is SRK 's mentor and one of the prime driving forces behind kick-starting SRK 's career! Mirza wanted SRK to do the voiceover for Kismat Konnection and, well, just one phone call was all it took. The moment King Khan landed from London, he rushed to meet Mirza (on Monday night at 1.30 a.m.), went to the dubbing studio and finished recording. Even Mirza was stunned at the actor's energy level. Now, one definitely needs some Kismat Konnection to make SRK do something like this.

Kismat Konnection

Director Aziz Mirza continues from where he left off. In his last directorial feature Chalte Chalte , Raj and Priya were seen sorting out their married life which was suffering from a lack of romance and an overdose of reality. This time Raj and Priya are back. But what binds them in this avatar are strange cosmic forces. Raj Malhotra (Shahid) is the kind of guy for whom nothing seems to be going right. Inspite of being a brilliant student, he has been struggling to establish himself as an architect. However a fortune teller claims that Raj will have better days ahead, that is, if he gets his good luck charm. And that good luck charm comes in the form of Priya ( Vidya Balan ) who he runs into on several occasions unexpectedly. But it seems whenever this lady is around, things work in Raj’s favor. So Raj decides to believe in this good luck theory, and befriends Priya with one prime motive – success in life. And Raj is certain that her good luck will work on his ambitious project- the

Shahid Kapoor on a roll in Kismet Konnection

v For one, the movie is set to release in the first week of July and will be his first release in six months. As Shahid says, “Yes, it is an important film because I don’t do too many films. I try and do one film at a time. So after November this is my next release. Its been almost 6 months so it’s been a long while.” Secondly, he has developed an excellent rapport with his costar Vidya Balan . He even tries to play pranks on her. In one instance, he wore a spooky mask and tried to scare Vidya but ended up being caught by her mother who apprehended him thinking he was an intruder. The unit had a good laugh as the prank fell on the prankster. Thirdly, Shahid literally was on a roll by picking up the sport of roller blading from some kids. He became so good at it that the director incorporated scenes of him roller blading in some songs. Shahid is also happy that he is now occupying a space in the genre of romantic comedy. He says,” I’ve been trying for really long time but nobody off

Shahrukh Khan snubs IIFA even though his movies scoop 15 awards

Bangkok played perfect host to the IIFA ’s last weekend. The “City of Angels”, known for its incredible hospitality, delivered everything expected of it. But the event itself was not without a good few hiccups. IIFA remains the only movement dedicated to escalating interest in Indian cinema globally. But nine years since it began in London’s Millennium Dome, it still can’t claim the support of the entire industry. Shahrukh Khan was the most notable absentee and a kingdom without its resident baadshah (king) is incomplete, especially considering that he had a hand in 15 of the awards that were handed out (nine for Chak De India including best actor and best picture and six for Om Shanti Om). With the film industry increasingly fractured into various cliques, SRK ’s absence also denied the IIFA’s (a Bachchan domain) of the support of the rest of his circle. So while he holidayed with his family in London, close friends Arjun Rampal, Rani Mukherjee and Farah Khan were also cons

"It's hard for me but I am trying," said Vidya Balan. And those who adored Soha Ali Khan in her traditional best in Khoya Khoya Chand there was much shock in store when the actress posed in a raunchy outfit for a magazine's cover.
