Big B Starer Paa Movie Review

Hello Friends Can you ever imagine watching an Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan film and not watching Amitabh Bachchan in it? Seems impossible, isn't it ? The towering persona and the rich baritone just cannot be overlooked. But R. Balki transforms the legendary actor into Auro, replaces the rich baritone with the voice of an adolescent [who's neither grown up, nor a kid] and taps the hitherto untapped talent of the icon. Trust me, 10 minutes into the film and you forget you're watching Amitabh Bachchan. For, Auro takes over the moment he is introduced to the viewer. PAA is a simple film told in the most simplistic manner and that's one of the prime reasons why this film works big time. The emotions would've fallen flat had the writing been sub-standard or the execution of the material been humdrum or the actors been inferior. But, thankfully, PAA scores in all three departments, although it must be said that the entire slum redevelopment episode is a complete put-off. Ye

Amitabh-Abhishek starrer 'Paa' to release on Children's Day

It’s about a child within a man and a man within a child Director R. Balakrishnan, also known as Balki, has decided to release his role-reversal drama "Paa", starring Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, on Nov 13 as a tribute to Children's Day. "It's a film about a child within a man and a man within a child. And I can't think of a better tribute to a child than Children's Day," says Balki, who completed shooting the film in England recently. Balki has shot his two feature films - "Cheeni Kum", an unconventional love story between a 30-plus woman and a 60-plus chef, and now "Paa" - in Britain because he loves the country. "We shot 'Paa' in my favourite location England. Throughout the stint in Cambridge we were at sea never on land. I love shooting in London. If I have my way, I'd shoot all my films there," he said. Balki took up the challenge of projecting the Big B like never before in "Paa".

Kareena Kapoor is sweet: Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan (33) was replaced in films, thrown out of some and suffered the ignonimity of having his films stalled. But he is a survivor. He talks about his journey candidly.... When did you first become aware that you were Amitabh Bachchan’s son? From as early as I can remember because for us at home it was never like, “I am Amitabh Bachchan’s son”. He was always ‘Pa’ for us. That’s something my mother always made sure of. I was never led to believe that I was the son of this great actor and so I was special. Did you ever resent being Amitabh Bachchan’s son? Never never... and I don’t think that will ever happen because I thank god everyday that I have been born into the family that I am born into and that I have the loving parents I have. Did you ever want to be anything other than an actor? As a child you have different ambitions everyday. I was no different. But amongst those ambitions, I also wanted to be an actor and acting is the one that stayed with me. As a kid I wanted

Money talks...Right Abhishek Bachchan

That Amitabh Bachchan and Anil Ambani are best friends is a well known fact. That the Ambanis are especially fond of Abhishek Bachchan is also widely known. In an interview last year, Abhishek had gone ahead to say that “Anil uncle and Tina aunty are my family. I’m always there for them.” So it came as a shocking surprise to advertising circles when Abhishek chose to endorse Aditya Birla Group’s Idea Cellular instead of Anil’s Reliance mobile. A trade source confirms that both Reliance and Idea wanted the actor as their brand ambassador; however, the actor signed the dotted line with Idea because he was reportedly paid Rs 15 crore for the deal. We sent a message to Abhishek asking him if what we heard was true, he chose to ignore us. A source from the advertising industry though insists that, “Abhishek has already done the BIG 92.7 FM commercial for Anil Ambani’s company and they share the best of relations. But then the Bachchans also share a fantastic rapport with Kumar Mangalam Birl

Abhishek said that when there are disagreements with wifey Aishwarya he is the first to make up. He said, “There is no shame in saying sorry. I am not the kind of person who thinks you lose face when you apologise. Accept the fact that women are superior beings and the superior species. We men are nothing. So don't ever mess with women. They have a fantastic ability to sulk. They remember everything. So there's no point fighting with them because you will never win. “And you know what's worse? Even when you fight, at the end of the day you want to sleep peacefully. You certainly don't want to end up on the couch. Always remember that the woman holds the keys to the house!” However, he hastened to add tha
