Jon Harris, director of the film ‘The Descent 2’ and renowned editor of half a dozen films like ‘The Pond’, ‘Eden Lake’, ‘Kick-Ass’ and soon to be release ‘X-Men First Class’ has Saif ali Khan on his wish list. Must say, there’s something quite English about the Saif ali Khan. Jon Harris had edited the critically acclaimed film ‘Being Cyrus’ directed by Homi Adajania with Saif. Recently, while giving interviews for the promotion of the film The Descent 2 he was asked a question about one actor with whom he would like to work with and why. To this Jon Harris quickly replied “Saif Ali Khan. I haven’t met him but I loved his role in a film for which I was an editor. The film is called Being Cyrus and my friend Homi told me that it was a critically-acclaimed movie in India. The Movie Directed by Shankar, Endhiran is a sci-fi thriller starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with Rajnikant. It is touted as the most expensive movie to be made in India so far, with its budget touching the whopping figure of Rs 165 crores. The film has been long in the making; production started in September 2008 in Machu Picchu in Peru. Based on the work of the late writer Sujatha’s novels En Iniya Iyanthira and Jeeno, Endhirn will have Rajnikant playing a scientist, who creates a robot in his own likeness for his physically challenged child to play with. However, things go awry and the robot begins to kill people forcing the scientist to terminate his state-of-the-art invention. “The film will have many surprises,” says helmer Shankar. “Technology has been used to the maximum possible extent. Bollywood Actors Salman Khan, Asin, Paresh Rawal and other unit members were shooting for Anees Bazmee’s ‘Ready’ in Sri Lanka. This was when Paresh Rawal got the news that his mother had expired in India. Paresh broke down on the sets. When the crew members asked the vetern actor to return home to perfom his mother’s last rites, Paresh was adamant that he would complete the shooting per schedule and then return for the last rites.
