But at the same time it was very risky and extremely dangerous and, in no situation, would a non-stuntman like Abhishek go ahead with it. In that rocky terrain and gushing backwaters, one false move and death was guaranteed unless it is performed by a stuntman. However, in the interviews leading up to the release of Raavan, Abhishek maintained that he, himself, had performed that dare devilry. But, MS Balram, a former national diving champion, claims that it was he who had performed the death-defying stunt. Balram says, “I am not here to create any controversy or to attract publicity because personally, I am a big fan of the Bachchans. I just want Mani Ratnam Sir’s movie to do well. But, it is also true that I was paid for doing the stunt and I am proud that I could do it.”

Bhojpuri Super Star Ravi Kishan, is thankful to his Raavan co-actor Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai for saving his life during the shooting of the Movie Raavan. “I used to lie down either on the river bank or in the bushes between shots to take some rest. I was lying on a rock when I heard them screaming, ‘Get up or you will die’.
