JOKER spends 3 Crrs to Create a Forest Set

Shirish Kunder, director of Joker is having totally different plans for his upcoming film. Unlike many film makers who choose to shoot in real locations when it comes to shooting in forests, Shirish Kunder will build a set of a forest in Mumbai for his big budgeted 3D tale..

“If the film would have been shot in a real location, the cost may not have been so high. However Shirish Kunder wasn’t happy with a real forest since he wants to build a fantastical world for JOKER. Also, since the film is being made in 3D, there are lot of touch ups required for various shots in the film, something that would have been possible only if the forest was customized as per the scene’s requirement”, informs a member from the film’s technical crew.

It will cost almost 3 crores. The forest will resemble the kind of world which was seen in ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

When contacted, Shirish Kunder did confirm that the set is indeed going to cost him 3 crores. “It should all be worth it though. Reason being that we need a huge space to shoot some of the most critical scenes in the film. It wouldn’t have been possible had we shot in a real forest.”

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor maintains he never said he was desperate to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan, but admitted he would love to work with the superstar if a good project came his way. “I had no such dil ki tamanna (heartfelt desire) to work with Shah Rukh sir.
