Vidya play Rajinikanth’s love interest

After hitting the headlines for sharing steamy scenes with the veteran luminary, Naseeruddin Shah in ‘The Dirty Picture’, The Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will now be seen romancing the legendary actor Rajinikanth.

Tabloids revealed that the Krishna of ‘Ishqiya’ has been roped in for playing one among the three love interests of superstar Rajinikanth, in his upcoming flick ‘Rana'.

As Rajinikanth will apparently be playing a triple role in ‘Rana’, Vidya will be seen as the lover girl of a mature Rajinikanth, whereas the B-town hotties Deepika Padukone and Rekha will be seen romancing an immature and an aged Rajinikanth respectively.

In a conversation with the Mid-Day, a source said, "The makers wanted a girl with a distinctly Indian look and who would click with the South audience well.

"Rajni has a triple role in Rana. Two are full-fledged parts while the third is a cameo. Rekha will co-star opposite the older Rajnikanth, Vidya with the middle-aged one and Deepika opposite the youngest.”

Directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by Ocher Picture Productions and Eros International, the film is slated for an April release.

With 3 Bollywood bombshells and a south megastar, ‘Rana’ has become a much awaited film of this year.

Perhaps this is why they are so welcoming to every director who wants to make a film on their lifestyle. John Abraham’s fortcoming film Hook Ya Crook is also one of those films shot in the Chikalwadi Chawl of Mumbai. This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps. The residents of the slum were delighted to see the stars around and cheered for the unit as they worked. John Abraham added to their delight by giving them autographs and taking pictures with them.
