Asin set a Record

Bollywood Actress Asin is the first film star from Kollywood in 30 years, to have set foot in Jaffna and Vavuniya which was once dominated by the LTTE.

Asin is in Sri Lanka for the last two weeks, shooting for her Hindi film Ready with Salman Khan. She wanted to do something to help the Tamil population of these areas, and thus came up with the idea of a medical camp along with Salman’s ‘Being Human Foundation’.

Actress Asin along with ‘Being Human Foundation’ flew down five eye surgeons with 1000 eye lenses, after care medication and even the technical equipment required for the operations from India, in order to ensure the smooth success of the Eye Care Camps.

Salman Khan too extended a helping hand.

Bollywood’s next big jodi – Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone!

Bollywood’s most gorgeous debutante of 2007 will be seen pairing with Akshay Kumar in 2008. With her first film – Om Shanti Om – Deepika Padukone has stepped into the big league in tinsel town.
