Rahul Dholakia’s Upcoming Bollywood film Lamhaa is making news these days. The story is based on the turmoil in the Kashmir valley. What actually is making news is that, there is a dialogue that apparently mocks Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai.
In one scene, Actor Anupam Kher who plays a Kashmiri separatist leader says: “When Aishwarya Rai is unable to see the moon it makes news. But why don’t the media report the plight of those thousands of Kashmiri wives who haven’t seen their husbands for years?”
However, this dialogue isn’t made up. It was actually spoken by a Kashmir leader referring to the long-lasting unrest in the valley. Also, the director and the main actors were a bit scared about the Bachchan’s reaction to this dialogue.
But, Amitabh Bachchan responded positively to the scene. He probably understood that the trivial news about Aish was referred because the media gives more attention to Bollywood glamour rather than important news.
