Indian Music Composers Salim and Sulaiman can barely conceal their pride, considering it's an honour that no Indian has bagged before.

Tunesmiths Salim and Suleiman have been lavished with a top note honour: 'African Promise,' a song number composed by them has been handpicked by the FIFA committee, no less! And the duo have been invited to open and close the fooball tournament in South Africa, commencing June 11, with July 11 being the finale.

Indian music composers Salim Suleiman will be performing with African RnB singers Loyiso Bala and Eric Wainaina who flew into Mumbai to record for the song number.

Reveals Salim in a periodical chat, "We will be performing 'African Promise' for the Nelson Mandela Foundation and the song has been written by my wife Jeanne."

Query them, if they're a mite nervous… and Suleiman swiftly says, "No way. We don't care if we're going to share the same platform as other international celebs, all we care about is our performance."

Incidentally, the whole process started with a pal from Africa simply suggesting that they compose a song for their country…

Shahid Kapoor may be shoot in Pakistan

In exciting news for his Pakistani fans, Bollywood Chocolaty Actor Shahid Kapoor could be shooting in Pakistan for a Mira Nair film, Aaj TV channel reported. According to some source, noted Indian film director Mira Nair is planning to make a movie based on Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid's second novel 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'. The yet-to-be-named film is expected to be shot in Pakistan. But it is not yet clear whether the necessary permissions have been sought for this purpose. The interior ministry and foreign ministry on both sides of the border have to be involved if any such project has to go ahead , the TV channel said quoting unnamed sources.
