Ranbir and Diana Penty in Rockstar

Diana Penty in Rockstar
Bollywood New Hot Jodi Ranbir Kapoor and Diana Penty In Rockstar is Imtiaz Ali’s most ambitious project till date. Initially, John Abraham was supposed to star in the film and it was to be produced by UTV. Then Love Aaj Kal happened and Ranbir and Ashtavinayak came on board instead.

Imtiaz Ali has apparently been ambivalent about who to sign as Ranbir’s love interest in the film – a new face or an already established actress from Bollywood. For some time he even toyed with the idea of roping in one-film-old Anushka Sharma fort he film, but later dropped the idea.

Diana Penty, a 25-year-old model from Mumbai, has been signed on to play the lead role in Imtiaz Ali’s film Rockstar, toplining Ranbir Kapoor. The film has been in the news ever since Imtiaz approached Katrina Kaif for the female lead role and she refused.

Imtiaz eventually decided that he wanted a new girl for his film and has finally zeroed down on Diana Penty. She will be the lead actress opposite Ranbir Kapoor in his film Rockstar.

Earlier reports suggested that Ali first approached Katrina Kaif about playing the female lead and then almost signed Anushka Sharma before deciding that a fresh face was needed for the role.

The fact that she had already starred in an advert with Kapoor is said to have worked in Penty’s favour.
