The ESPN STAR Sports Recently Announced a Marketing tie-up with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment for Upcoming Comedy Film Housefull and the forthcoming ICC World Cup T20 to be held in West Indies from April 30 to May 16, 2010. The promotions of the film will begin on the first day itself where Akshay Kumar will cheer the opening teams New Zealand and Sri Lanka and the Indian team playing against Afghanistan on May 1. A visibly-excited Akshay said that he was going to miss Sachin Tendulkar. “Sachin has been in full form since the last two years and it would have been nice to see him play once again,” said the actor.

So How will the Tie-up work? Besides Akshay Kumar, the other cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan will be in West Indies during the semi-finals and the Finals. “Promos of the comic caper will also flash regularly during the breaks and when the actors come to West Indies they will talk about Housefull,” said Nancy Agnihotri of ESPN channel. But it is not confirmed when the actors will land in the West Indies. All of them are cricket buffs including Lara, who is a huge fan of bowler Harbhajan Singh. Arjun thinks Zaheer Khan is in great form while Riteish wishes Sunil Gavaskar could be a part of the T20 matches.

Shahid Kapoor may be shoot in Pakistan

In exciting news for his Pakistani fans, Bollywood Chocolaty Actor Shahid Kapoor could be shooting in Pakistan for a Mira Nair film, Aaj TV channel reported. According to some source, noted Indian film director Mira Nair is planning to make a movie based on Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid's second novel 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'. The yet-to-be-named film is expected to be shot in Pakistan. But it is not yet clear whether the necessary permissions have been sought for this purpose. The interior ministry and foreign ministry on both sides of the border have to be involved if any such project has to go ahead , the TV channel said quoting unnamed sources. Shahid Kapoor, the channel reported, has not signed the contract yet but has shown interest in reading the script and is also excited about working with US-based Mira Nair, who has won critical acclaim for her off-beat films.
