Akshay Kumar a Very Busy Man

Akshay Kumar in Housefull - Bollywood-News.IN
“Who said being an actor was a cake walk?” tweets Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar while shooting for an action sequence for Thank You, in less than 2 degrees temperature. This was last week, after which the star came back to Bombay for a special cast and crew screening of Housefull, that releases this Friday.

Akshay Kumar is a very busy man these days: between shooting several films and promoting Housefull, spending time with his wife Twinkle and son Aarav and shooting for ads. Here’s a lowdown on what one of the most loved Bollywood stars has been up to over the last few days…

Just after he finished the finished shooting for Priyadarshan’s Khatta Meetha, Akshay Kumar flew to Vancouver, Canada, on a week-long shooting schedule for his second home production, Anees Bazmee’s Thank You.

Akshay Kumar will also be seen romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Vipul Shah’s Action Replayy. Buzz is that Akshay is all set to do a cozy number with Mrs Bachchan, dedicated to famous screen couples of the 70s.

In midst of all this action, the 42-year-old actor makes sure that he doesn’t miss his daily swim at a Bombay five-star and his thrice-a-week visit to the gurudwara. He also made it a point to be with wife Twinkle at the launch of her holiday line (Pics).

Akshay Kumar, who’s wielding the bat in Nikhil Advani’s Patiala House, caught up with the IPL fever on Sunday by watching the IPL Mumbai Indians – Chennai Super Kings tie with family and friends: Housefull’s director Sajid Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, wife Twinkle, his sister Alka, Tees Maar Khan’s director Farah Khan, Shirish Kunder and Ritesh Deshmukh.

As far as films are concerned, Housefull is Akshay Kumar’s first release of 2010. While the actor had five releases last year (Chandni Chowk To China, 8×10 Tasveer, Kambakkht Ishq, Blue and De Dana Dan), there’s reason for his fans to celebrate as the actor has another five films scheduled to release this year, Housefull (April 30), Action Replay (June) Khatta Meetha (June 18), Patiala House (November)and Tees Maar Khan (December 24).

Akshay Kumar Fans have a lot of movie of him forward to, this year.

Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini

Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini In Dil Bole Hadippa Believe it or not, but the whole ‘bikini top ‘n’ skimpy shorts’ avatar in short — flaunting Rani Mukerji’s hot new bod wasn’t her idea. Not even the producer or director had anything to do with it. After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc.

Bollywood: John Abraham’s Slum Connection

Bollywood New Movie Slumdog Millionaire has definitely made the slums of Mumbai a little popular. Perhaps this is why they are so welcoming to every director who wants to make a film on their lifestyle. John Abraham’s fortcoming film Hook Ya Crook is also one of those films shot in the Chikalwadi Chawl of Mumbai. This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps. The residents of the slum were delighted to see the stars around and cheered for the unit as they worked. John Abraham added to their delight by giving them autographs and taking pictures with them.
