Katrina Kaif Wants significant role in 'The Italian Job'

Katrina Kaif Wants significant role in 'The Italian Job'
There are rumours that Katrina Kaif is having second thoughts about starring in Abbas Mustan’s remake of the 2003 Hollywood film, The Italian Job as her role is quite insignificant.

A source says, “Initially, Actress Katrina Kaif had agreed to do the film. However, after going through the script, Katrina Kaif realised that she does not like her role.”

A spate of hits seems to have changed Katrina’s attitude towards the film. “Gone are the days when she signed films opposite big heroes without bothering about her role. Today, Katrina is very particular about her roles too,” adds the source. As things stand today, she is dillydallying to sign on the dotted line unless her role in the film is substantial enough.

Another reason why Katrina is unlikely to do this film is because one of the male lead actors was changed. “Earlier she was very kicked about the film because Saif was part of it. However, after Saif opted out of the project, her interest soon diminished,” says the source.

Incidentally, this is the third film in the last three months that Katrina has had second thoughts about. It may be recalled that she had earlier opted out of Sanjay Gadhvi’s 7 Days In Paris. Just a few days ago, she had also refused to star in Anees Bazmee’s Thank You opposite Akshay Kumar despite agreeing to be part of it initially.

As for remake of The Italian Job, she might change her mind and star in the Abbas Mustan film if she’s satisfied with the changes in the script. Meanwhile, the directors are clueless as to why Katrina is reluctant to be part of the film and is asking them to make changes in the script.
Despite repeated calls and text messages, Katrina and Abbas Mustan remained unavailable for comment.

After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc. ...
