A.R. Rahman get two Grammy awards
Award Winning Music Director A.R. Rahman has made India proud for the second time. He has bagged two Grammy Awards for his composition ‘Jai Ho’ from Slumdog Millionaire’. A.R. Rahman on receiving the award said, "This is insane, god is great again." This prestigious award has come to A.R. Rahman just few months after winning the Oscar.

This song has been sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and A.R. Rahman himself. A.R. Rahman has been nominated for this award for the first time. By winning this award, he has beaten his rivals Steve Jordan for "Cadillac Records," Quentin Tarantino for "Inglourious Basterds", and the producers of "Twilight" and "True Blood."

After winning the award, A.R. Rahman tweets that he owes his success to a number of people from Bollywood and Hollywood. "My mentors Maniratnam, Shekhar Kapur and Subhash Ghai, and mentor in the west, Andrew Lloyd WebberFolks at id-PR, Allison and Courtney."

Shahid Kapoor may be shoot in Pakistan

In exciting news for his Pakistani fans, Bollywood Chocolaty Actor Shahid Kapoor could be shooting in Pakistan for a Mira Nair film, Aaj TV channel reported. According to some source, noted Indian film director Mira Nair is planning to make a movie based on Pakistani writer Mohsin Hamid's second novel 'The Reluctant Fundamentalist'. The yet-to-be-named film is expected to be shot in Pakistan. But it is not yet clear whether the necessary permissions have been sought for this purpose. The interior ministry and foreign ministry on both sides of the border have to be involved if any such project has to go ahead , the TV channel said quoting unnamed sources. Shahid Kapoor, the channel reported, has not signed the contract yet but has shown interest in reading the script and is also excited about working with US-based Mira Nair, who has won critical acclaim for her off-beat films.
