This time was no different when Bollywood Action Hero Akshay Kumar started shooting for intense actions sequences for Director Vipul Shah’s Action Replay within 24 hours of reaching Mumbai, after undergoing therapy in Germany for his injured back.
A source said, “Akshay Kumar is currently shooting high-voltage action sequence on bikes with Rannvijay. Everyone in the unit was very apprehensive about him performing the stunts. However, Akshay not only refused to use a body double but also has been relentlessly pushing himself for the action scenes. Vipul is taking special care of Akshay as he does not want any situation where his back injury has even the slightest chance of aggravating further.”
Vipul Shah said, “Yes, we were a little apprehensive as Akshay Kumar had just come back to the country after his hydrotherapy in Germany. However, Akshay Kumar being Akshay he was raring to go and he decided to do the action sequences all by himself.”
Commenting on the stunts performed by Akshay Kumar, Vipul added, “The action scenes were quite daring as Akshay Kumar had to do a chase sequence by jumping from one speeding bike to another.”
