Bollywood Director Rakesh Roshan is awfully impressed with Avatar, and he is so inspired with Cameron’s technological landmark that he wants to make his own ‘Krrish’ on the tracks of Avatar. He is quite sure that he can achieve this kind of 3D technology in India.
‘I saw the film (’Avatar’) in Los Angeles. And it certainly made me sit up and re-think about ‘Krrish’. But I don’t think it is impossible to create effects on par with Hollywood. We need to budget the sequel intelligently,’ he said.
He admits that there is no immediate plan to start working on the sequel to Krrish. ‘I am not even thinking of directing my own film until our production ‘Kites’ is released May 14. Only then will I seriously start planning my directorial project. For now, the next film I direct is Krrish’s sequel. But it may change if I’m unhappy with the script.’
But the Krrish himself, Hrithik Roshan is not in sync with his father. Though they have discussed to make a hindi movie in the light ofAvatar or 2012, but Hrithik Roshan made it very clear that there is no need to spend such a huge amount of money unless there is a scope that their venture will make an impact on the audience.
Now Hrithik Roshan is doubtful about the feasibility of this project, since they have seen the grandeur of Avatar & 2012. If they want to make a movie comparable to the Hollywood counterpart, then they must afford the cost, and moreover the must bring the best technicians to work on it, otherwise it will be another dud like many other Bollywood biggies.
