Breakups in Bollywood is publicity stunt?

Breakup in Bollywood is ordinary, actors and actresses easily walk out of relationships like changing clothes. But, there are not many cases when the matter reaches close to wedding and then break-up.

There's something superior to life about Bollywood couples, particularly if they're both popular stars. It is believed that many a times this stardom comes in the way of their relationships. Either the success takes a toll over them or they don't find time for their relationships from their busy schedules. Reasons could be good or bad, they make news. As they say, any publicity, good or bad, makes news and it works in favour of the stars.

Let us start with mentioning Bollywood's most popular Casanova who is famous for his link-ups and break-ups more than his films. Who else than Salman Khan to hold the number one spot in this category! Salman Khan has had ‘n' number of link-ups and most disastrous break-ups in the industry. His most famous break-up was with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai. They finished up in a ‘dirty' break-up. The problem being stated was Salman Khan's behavior.

One more very popular break-up that involved the two stars was that of Aishwarya Rai and Vivek Oberoi. Word was out that the two have split, one of the reasons being Aishwarya Rai 's steady disagreement of being in a relationship with Vivek Oberoi Jr. On the other hand Viveik could not do an interview without taking his fair maiden's name.

A break-up that is looked upto as a sad one is that of Abhishek Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor. Only god knows what happened inside the closed room between the Bachchan and Kapoor family that they called off Abhishek Bachchan-Karisma's engagement. Soon after, Karisma got married to Sanjay Kapoor and Abhishek was single till he got mingled with Aishwarya. Another Kapoor daughter who had to face the break-up pain was Kareena Kapoor. Kareena was linked to Shahid Kapoor for really long and they made it public as well. Their on-screen chemistry didn't appeal people but they sizzled off-screen. Ironically when people liked them on-screen in ‘Jab We Met,' it was the time when they called it off.

Kareena Kapoor didn't really face a bad time so to say, as she was already involved with chote nawab Saif Ali Khan. Grapevine has that Kareena-Shahid broke up because of Saif Ali Khan coming in between. Before Kareena, Saif Ali Khan was leading a happy married life with Amrita Singh. Once word was out of their secret marriage, no one thought their marriage would last and how right they were. After Saif Ali Khan 's booming film career, he got over his head and the two parted ways. He started seeing model Rosa and she is believed to be one of the reasons of the marital discord. Saif apparently froze all their accounts and Amrita forcefully had to debut on television in Kavyaanjali and made a comeback on the golden screen in Mohit Suri's Kalyug. Saif Ali Khan did not get along with Rosa as well as she was aspiring to make it big in Bollywood and chote nawab didn't seem to like the idea much.

A love story which turned sour as soon as it was revealed was that of Herman Baweja and Priyanka Chopra. The two were together till they appeared in ‘Love Story 2050'. Priyanka Chopra is a shining star and Harman Baweja is a struggling actor. Professional grading seems to have come in the way of the couple and they are heading towards spiltville. That Harman failed to taste the success with ‘Love Story 2050' did not go well with Priyanka. She is least interested to link up her name with a person who failed in his first attempt.

Harman is really going through a tough time. On one hand, he is struggling to firm his stand in Bollywood while on the other hand. His Piggy Chops has betrayed him. According to insiders, Harman's family was against their liaison since day one. They were not in the favor of their relationship but it was Harman who had fallen for Priyanka.

Priyanka and Harman had a gala time while shooting for Love Story 2050. Their love story hit the charts from day one of Love Story 2050. Therefore with Harman-Priyanka's break up, we can say that another Bollywood pair marks their name in the spilt list.

Sushmita Sen is another break-up queen in Bollywood. Her longest affair lasted with director Vikram Bhatt. Vikram called his marriage off for being with Sush. At a time when speculations were on about their marriage, the news of their break-up came as a shock to their friends. Both of them parted their ways and chose different partners for themselves. Vikram got involved with Amisha Patel. There was a lot of hue-and-cry about their affair in the Patel family but Amisha stood by her love leaving the family behind. They lived together for years and worked together as well till they found a reason to part their ways. Sushmita, on the other hand, has found several partners, been with them, had a good time and called it off.

Amisha's brother Ashmit Patel and Riya Sen were jointly at a time. Not many know the reason of their crack but one of the reasons speculated was the MMS clip that was available just about everywhere of the two being personal. Both of them denied that it was them in the video and said the people involved were duplicates.

Amrita Arora and Upen Patel were a hot and happening couple till they split without any problems whatsoever between them. In fact they are still good friends. While Amrita has moved on with new found love Usman Afzal, Upen is concentrating on his film career.

Director Mohit Suri and Udita Goswami were said to be together at a time but grapevine has that this was another controversy created by the king of controversy creator Mahesh Bhatt! During the shoot of the film Zeher, the pair reportedly got involved and by the time the film was over, the two parted ways. Udita cited that she got less importance in the film than what was promised to her so the feud began.

Another break-up in the long list of Koirala's boyfriends but a popular one was with Cecil Anthony. Manisha had been consistent with Cecil for quite some time though. She seems to be changing boyfriends more often than having film releases. Currently she's seeing hotelier Prashant Shetty.

Yana Gupta and husband Satyakam Gupta came jointly for love but split for reasons unknown to public. This Czech born model divorced her Indian sculptor husband. Both of them maintained a dignified silence to the media and have not disclosed the reason for their split. She is now supposedly seeing any other guy after breaking up with Aftab Shivdasani.

A shocking break-up that happened in Bollywood was that of director Dharmesh Darshan and wife Bindiya. The director and his wife of just one month decided to split. The Bewafaa director tied the knot with her on February 27 at Arya Samaj Mandir in a very private ceremony. Not even close friends were invited for the wedding, which came as a surprise to the entire industry and their split was definitely an even bigger shock.

Last but without doubt not the least are Sahil and Nigar Khan. How much have we heard (and seen) of this couple, just about everything. The two A-Grade looking, B-Grade actors got married and soon there were many differences between the two mainly because of Nigar's non-traditional ways. After being deported from India, after having a wardrobe malfunction in Norway and after having posed nude for the cover of a European magazine, hubby Sahil said enough was enough and he said those three little words Talaq Talaq, Talaq. Nigar doesn't seem to mind. She was photographed topless with Italian actor Luigi Casandra, her co-star in an Italian flick. Last heard, after all the differences the two were willing to work together in a movie that interestingly is based on their real life story. Talk about professionalism!

And the list goes on and on and on. We surely understand that human relationships are delicate but looking at those in Bollywood World.
