International model, pin-up girl and Canadian-Indian phirangi phataka Rachel Wood has been signed on by the US-based, start-up firm Purple Fire Films for an international Hindi film project. Rachel who has done several modeling assignments abroad and has also featured in more than 10 Punjabi videos (all shot in Canada and the US) is of Indian origin. She is a third generation Canadian-Indian and has lived all her life in Canada and the US. Rachel has featured on the covers of most international men's magazines. She is also a pin-up and bikini model and is a regular at most Auto and Bike shows.

Besides, Rachel, the producers have approached John Abraham, Dino Morea and Rahul Bose as prospective co-stars. However, the male lead for this project starring Rachel has yet to be confirmed, said sources.

Co-incidently, Rachel has also done some "not-worth-mentioning Indian print ads, which she did during her short holiday visits to India in the past to earn some extra pocket money," explained Media Manager and spokesperson for Purple Fire Films, Flynn Remedios adding that she has also featured in two local videos but doesn't want to talk about them now. "She has been taken on a 3-year-three-film contract," said Flynn.

Rachel who is currently in Mumbai for a desi-Bollywood acting course, said that it was her dream to act in a typical Bollywood family entertainer. "I have always loved Bollywood movies. I am a great fan of Salman, Aamir and SRK. I must thank Purple Fire Films for giving me this opportunity to co-star in an Indian production." The project will feature Rachel in some very steamy and seductive scenes and will also have some devil-may-dare action scenes.
