The filming began on 12 September 2007 and was completed on September 15, 2008. The film's promos debuted with the release of Drona.

Yuvvraaj is Salman's first film with Subhash Ghai. He plays the role of Deven Yuvvraaj, a chorus singer in an orchestra who needs money to win over his billionaire beloved - a beauty queen, Katrina Kaif.

The film is about the arrogance and overconfidence of contemporary youth sans values.

"I play this young guy who has had a massive fall out with his father and has left his home. He has two brothers played by Anil (Kapoor) and Zayed (Khan). But when his father dies, he returns home to claim his share of the father's money and legacy. That's where the twist comes in," said Salman.

Anil Kapoor plays Gyanesh Chandra, a mentally challenged man who is a musical genius. He is yet to realize the color of money, but unfortunately gets caught in a web of greed & deceit.

while Zayed Khan plays Danny, the womanizing money spending brother who can't reconcile to the fact that his father has left the bulk of his estate to his mentally challenged son.

Katrina Kaif, who plays the love interest of Salman Khan in the film, learnt to play Cello for her role. A Cello teacher used to report on the set everyday to teach Katrina the stringed instrument. She managed to master the theme tune of the film. She is passionate about music and besotted for an earthy man Deven Yuvvraaj. She plays a catalyst through her music in this family drama in which one will laugh, cry, sing and dance.

This is how the story is set up:

Set in Europe, the film is about three brothers, Deven Yuvvraaj (Salman Khan), Gyanesh (Anil Kapoor) and Danny (Zayed Khan), sons of a billionaire father, brought up in three different environments. They are constantly fighting and playing games with each other to inherit their father's wealth. However, when Anushka (Katrina) who is a cellist comes in to explain them the power of relationships over the power of money, they all have a change of heart.

Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini

Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini In Dil Bole Hadippa Believe it or not, but the whole ‘bikini top ‘n’ skimpy shorts’ avatar in short — flaunting Rani Mukerji’s hot new bod wasn’t her idea. Not even the producer or director had anything to do with it. After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc.

This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps. The residents of the slum were delighted to see the stars around and cheered for the unit as they worked. John Abraham added to their delight by giving them autographs and taking pictures with them.
