Fashion or Golmaal Returns will do a better opening ?

After the three big consecutive banner Karzzz according to the verdict was a disaster, Kidnap which went flop and Hello which was below average.

Golmaal Returns and Fashion releasing on the same day have not completely blown the cinema halls. Golmaal Returns is showing on 6-8 shows at multiplexes today while Fashion is on 5-6 shows. The shows are expected to go to 10-14 for Golmaal Returns and 8-10 for Fashion from Friday onwards.

As for Golmaal Return’s opening for the first day bumped 95-100% and The film has is also compared and matched film openers like Om Shanti Om and Singh Is Kinng on day one in terms of capacity though the film has been released on a lesser volume of shows than those films.

Fashion started on a low note in the morning and improved its collections after every of its show. The improvement shown was in multiplexes of the big cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.The film started at around 30% and second show collections were around the 50% mark and the next shows showed more improvement with 60% collections.

Golmaal Returns maintained and made a collection at Indore multiplexes on Thursday while Fashion showrd a fall.

Perhaps this is why they are so welcoming to every director who wants to make a film on their lifestyle. John Abraham’s fortcoming film Hook Ya Crook is also one of those films shot in the Chikalwadi Chawl of Mumbai. This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps.
