Hollywood Rock On Bollywood

If one thought that Bollywood was the only film industry churning out a film with the title Rock On then think again. That's because in Hollywood as well, work is in full progress for its own version of Rock On. While the principal shooting of Rock On has been completed, there is still some flip-flop over the final title.

A musical-comedy-romance film, the film was earlier titled Will and there have been murmurs around Bandslam being the latest title in discussions. Starring Gaelan Connell, Lisa Kudrow, Alyson Michalka and Vanessa Hudgens, the film (just like the Bollywood version starring Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Shahana Goswami and Koel Puri) tells the story about a group of friends coming together and forming a rock band.

It is about this boy named Will who is a high school outcast and a popular girl Charlotte who form an unlikely bond through their shared love of music. While the boy is used to being bullied or completely ignored by his schoolmates, he is stunned when this cool and popular former cheerleader starts inviting him to spend time with her.

Impressed by his eclectic knowledge of music, the girl asks Will to manage her rock band. Her goal is to take revenge on her egocentric musician ex-boyfriend Ben at a regional battle-of-the-bands. Unsure of what he's getting himself into, Will agrees to help Charlotte's band, including Bug and Omar, eventually expanding it with a crew of like-minded outcasts. Against all odds, the group's sound starts to come together and how they reach their final goal forms the crux of Rock On.

Well, that was Hollywood's Rock On for you which would release only in 2009. Meanwhile, now it has to be seen what's the story that Farhan's Rock On has to tell once the film sees its worldwide release today.

Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini In Dil Bole Hadippa Believe it or not, but the whole ‘bikini top ‘n’ skimpy shorts’ avatar in short — flaunting Rani Mukerji’s hot new bod wasn’t her idea. Not even the producer or director had anything to do with it. After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc. ...
