Vivek with six-pack abs

The lean mean muscular torso with fancy six-pack abs seems to have taken our desi hunks by storm. After Shahrukh Khan's six pack, it's actor Vivek Oberoi who's busy pumping iron for Apoorva Lakhia's Mission Istanbul. But the actor is inspired by Hrithik's fab abs.

After Shahrukh Khan sparked off a six-pack revolution of sorts with his stunning avatar in last year's blockbuster hit Om Shanti Om, the lean mean muscular torso with six-pack abs seem to have taken our desi hunks by storm. There are a slew of actors itching to step into SRK's shoes. Abhishek Bachchan is all set to get into the fitness groove while Fardeen Khan claims we'll see his fitter machismo side soon. But one actor who firmly swears by the saying 'actions speak louder than words is Vivek Oberoi. Last seen in Apoorva Lakhia's Shootout At Lokhandwala, Vivek is busy pumping iron for Lakhia's forthcoming film Mission Istanbul. The actor will essay the part of a Turkish commando Rizwan and naturally, Lakhia wants his actors to fetch the much talked about lean mean look. And its Hollywood action bigwig George Agular who has been roped in to choreograph the elaborate action sequences of the film. Therefore apart from working out religiously for the last nine months, our sincere Vivek has also enrolled himself in yoga and Tai Chi classes as part of the preparation for his role.

Vivek's fitness trainer of five years, Satyajit Chaurasia tells us, " Vivek has been working extremely hard at the Barbarian gym for the last nine months. He's absolutely determined to attain those coveted six pack abs for his look Mission Istanbul. In fact yesterday, he worked out for 4 hours non-stop. Hats off to his grit and determination! He conscientiously does heavyweight muscle training for six days a week with an average session of two and half hours. But once a week, he often extends his session to four hours. His sixth-pack is already visible. He has been on a stringent diet regime- high on proteins, with a considerably reduced intake of rice, carbs and sweets. He had put on some weight due to an injury he suffered early last year, but courtesy his rigorous workout regime and diet plan he has already shed 7 kilos. He must lose another four-five kilos for that perfect lean mean physique" says Satya.

As for Vivek's inspiration, Satya says, "He is most impressed and inspired by Hrithik's body. He often raves about Hrithik's perfectly chiselled physique and wants a six-pack like his. When we started working out, he said you show me the way, and I'll follow your command" shares Satya. "And boy, he's true to his word".

Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini

Bollywood Actress Rani Mukherjee's sexy in her bikini In Dil Bole Hadippa Believe it or not, but the whole ‘bikini top ‘n’ skimpy shorts’ avatar in short — flaunting Rani Mukerji’s hot new bod wasn’t her idea. Not even the producer or director had anything to do with it. After she realised how much she had toned up (to play a male cricketer in Dil Bole Hadippa!), Rani just happened to discuss this idea with her designer friend Manish Malhotra. And from there on it was Manish’s game plan, after all, he’s transformed many a Bollywood girl in to glam queens. He suggested that it would be a pity to waste such a well-toned body by not showing it off. That’s how the idea of a special song was born. And is she looking hot? Talk about her ‘shapely’ success, and Rani says, “Believe me, I didn’t starve at all. I love my food, especially rice and sweets. There was no way I was giving up all that. So, I just worked out harder and was occasionally allowed my ‘cheat’ meals of rice, sweets, etc.

Bollywood: John Abraham’s Slum Connection

Bollywood New Movie Slumdog Millionaire has definitely made the slums of Mumbai a little popular. Perhaps this is why they are so welcoming to every director who wants to make a film on their lifestyle. John Abraham’s fortcoming film Hook Ya Crook is also one of those films shot in the Chikalwadi Chawl of Mumbai. This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps. The residents of the slum were delighted to see the stars around and cheered for the unit as they worked. John Abraham added to their delight by giving them autographs and taking pictures with them.
