Music company T-Series, which has been closely associated with Himesh Reshammiya from the Aashiq Banaya Apne days, is producing three of his upcoming movies – Karzzzz, Kajraare and A Love Issshtory. Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar have bought the remake rights from Mukta Arts while the music right of the original Karz is with HMV-Saregama.
Locations always formed an important aspect in the singer’s movies. Germany and Thailand were shot in a different angle in his debut movie, especially for the songs’ shootings. For Karzzzz, the team is currently heading to Cape Town and Johannesburg while other portions will be shot in Kenya. Directed by Satish Kaushik, the movie stars Indra Kumar’s daughter Shweta Kumar, Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa, Rohini Hatangadi and Raj Babbar.Pooja Bhatt, after Dhokha, will be directing Kajraare and Pakistan and Morrocco are the proposed scheduled locations for the shooting. John Mathew Matthan, who earlier directed Aamir Khan in Sarfarosh and Shahid Kapur in Shikhar, has been assigned to direct A Love Issshtory.
Himesh Reshammiya’s offerings as a music director have been very scarce recently – ‘Tum Mile’ from My Name is Anthony Gonsalves being the last song.
After dropping from Kamal Hassan’s Dasavatharam, his next score is Milenge Milenge - which stars hit pair Shahid Kapur and Kareena Kapoor. Produced by Boney Kapoor and directed by Satish Kaushik, the audio will be released under the Tips label.
