What’s on your iPod?
I have almost all kinds of music. But I avoid rock music. Ghazals by Ghulam Ali are a must. Besides I’m always downloading new music.

Your DVD pick?
I collect a lot of Korean and Iranian films. It is the drama and action in Korean films that really inspires me. Iranian movies are all about the portrayal of strong independent characters played by simple persons.

Your favourite romantic scene in a movie?
I don’t enjoy romantic movies. But in a movie called Notebook there are a lot of tender, romantic moments which I found kind of sweet.

Which heroine you would love to go on a date with?
In Bollywood there are lots of them and I wouldn’t like to take names. But otherwise, Jessica Alba.

Which dialogue have you mouthed in front of the mirror the most?
‘Hi, I am Kunal, naam tho suna hoga.’ Although I never keep saying my dialogues in front of the mirror, this one is a funny dialogue which I keep repeating often.

Who inspired you to become an actor?
Hindi movies such as Shiva, Ghatak and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander.

The worst film you’ve ever watched? Why?
Date Movie. I started watching it thinking it was scary but it turned out to be a disaster.

Which film you wish you could be part of?
Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander - I love the raw action in this movie. And I would love to play the character of Shiva if I ever get a chance.

What makes you an actor?
My dream and desire to be one.

Bollywood: John Abraham’s Slum Connection

Bollywood New Movie Slumdog Millionaire has definitely made the slums of Mumbai a little popular. Perhaps this is why they are so welcoming to every director who wants to make a film on their lifestyle. John Abraham’s fortcoming film Hook Ya Crook is also one of those films shot in the Chikalwadi Chawl of Mumbai. This film is directed by David Dhawan and John Abraham playes a cricketer who resides in the chawl. In a song John and Genelia D’Souza dance to a tapori-ish number with the typical tapori dance steps. The residents of the slum were delighted to see the stars around and cheered for the unit as they worked. John Abraham added to their delight by giving them autographs and taking pictures with them.
