Unreasonable criticism depresses Kareena Kapoor

But Saif Ali Khan keeps her ‘happy and smiling’ Kareena Kapoor admits she gets upset when uncharitable remarks are made about her or her performance. Though the actress doesn't mind healthy criticism, she isn't amused when comments are made without any provocation or reason. "I have realised over a period of time that the higher you go, more and more people will try to pull you down. I used to hear about this from my sister (Karisma) but am experiencing this first hand now. It isn't really funny actually," Kareena told IANS. Kareena was obviously referring to a section of the media coming down heavily on her since the release of "Kambakkht Ishq" (pictured left). "Well, the movie has released, done well and it's time to move on to newer things. Critics had things to say about the film and it's okay if they didn't like the film. In any case, audiences had their own take on the film and they made the film a success. It's all balanced ou

Vishal Bhardwaj’s brilliant composition Dhan Te Nan has taken the nation by storm. The lead actor of Kaminey, Shahid Kapur on whom the song is picturised, tells us about the time he first heard the song. “Vishal looks very shareef, but actually his looks are deceptive. After all he has written Kaminey; the screenplay and dialogues. Fortunately, he has only given the dancing category to someone else otherwise he would have got all the credits,” laughs Shahid. Talking about the phenomenal song, he says, “One day Vishal called me to the studio. He has a very quiet manner. He asked me to sit, make myself at home and offered me tea and coffee. Then he requested me to listen to the new song he had composed and give my opinion on it,” recalls the actor. He continues, “So I took the headphones, the song started playing Dhan Te Nan and I almost fell of my chair. I couldn’t believe the same guy had made such a powerful song. I really loved it when I heard it.” Jab We Met had Mauja Mauja and Naga

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan:- "No one should blame me if my films are delayed"

From Singapore to Chalakudy... Aishwarya Rai Bachchan never had such a hectic schedule to keep up. On Monday, another schedule of Mani Ratnam's Raavan started in the distant hilly area of Kerala, just when Amar Singh, whom Aishwarya was attending to, had recovered. Censor loves Love Aaj Kal kisses

The Censor board isn’t miffed with the fact that Saif Ali Khan starrer Love Aaj Kal has five liplocks in the film. Unlike Kambakkht Ishq, in which Kareena Kapoor was on a smooching spree, the censor board defended the kisses in Love Aaj Kal saying they weren’t as vulgar. Deepika Padukone herself had spoken of the hyped liplocks and said, "I think it was necessary in the film. I believed in the role and keeping that in mind I have been able to perform better. We have all moved way ahead. I mean how long are we going to show flowers or birds tweeting during a kissing scene?" While the Censor Board made director Imtiaz Ali cut just one scene in the film along with giving it a UA certificate, Imtiaz said his film was a complete family entertainer. “Nobody will feel inhibited watching Love Aaj Kal. No one will hesitate walking into the film with his family. The sensational scenes are a part of the promos as well. In one scene, Saif is shown as if he is trying to hold Deepika’s but
