Aamir is a favourite for TV commercials

THE latest brand to rope in Aamir Khan for its campaign is satellite television provider Tata Sky. According to Vikram Mehra, Marketing Head in Tata Sky, Aamir Khan was roped in because of his attributes of perfectionism, originality and uprightness. “We identify with the qualities Aamir represents. Aamir is experimental, he rises above common concepts and exceeds expectations. He does something others have not done and uses advanced technology. He is a perfectionist and he’s straightforward,” says Vikram. Is the Aamir campaign designed to counter Shah Rukh Khan’s Dish TV campaign? No, says Vikram. “We are not responding to competition. Earlier stars like Hrithik Roshan and Paresh Rawal had appeared in our commercials, but this is the first time a Bollywood star is becoming our ambassador. ”The company believes that with a celebrity like Aamir, campaigns are far more likely to capture the attention of the masses. “We believe Aamir can effectively communicate the benefits of Tata Sky

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty will host India's take on the British reality TV show "Celebrity Big Brother", which she unexpectedly won last year. Shetty won the British show after allegations she had been racially abused. She said she had never been tempted to enter India's version. "I could never do it myself again, because I've done it once and it was really hard," the 33-year-old actress told Reuters on Thursday.
