He jumps, along with other actors, from a running train, blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back." "It's about these characters testing their luck. We set up cables and kept harnesses ready. So, if anything went wrong Sanju would not be injured. But when we narrated the scene to him, he said he didn't want to use any safety measures or dummies. He was kicked about shooting such a high-voltage action scene on his own." Action director Allan Amin led the action team. Muscle-packed Sanjay Dutt returns with 35-inch waist in ‘Lamhaa’

Spicezee Bureau Mumbai, Nov 11: Sanjay Dutt refuses to let age take over his muscular body. The muscle-packed actor is sporting a fabulous new look for his forthcoming film, ‘Lamhaa’, in which he is playing the role of a military officer. With salt-and-pepper beard, dyed hair and military bearing, the veteran actor is sure to make the young actors go green with envy. The first thing Sanjay was required to do was grow a thick beard. "Sanju has also coloured his hair. Sanjay has never done this before," says friend and producer Bunty Walia. "He has never cultivated any kind of special look for a role. When he had played a police officer in Mission Kashmir, he had used a moustache for the first time." Shabina Khan, the famous designer for men, has been roped in to give Sanjay the hot look. "He's come back from his holiday looking so slim and what a stride! Of course his waistline isn't like Sylvester Stallone's. At 6

Bipasha Basu’s no-show in Kashmir upsets Sanjay Dutt

He is feeling pulled apart emotionally and physically. Dharam Oberoi, CEO of Sanjay Dutt Productions said, “The past few weeks were bad for Mr Dutt, both psychologically and physically. But his body and mind is used to taking such batterings.” Throwing more light on the happenings in Dutt’s life, a source close to Dutt said, “First, it was Bipasha’s noshow at Kashmir for ‘Lamhaa’. To top it, she didn’t even bother to inform Sanjay that she was leaving Kashmir. Sanju reached Srinagar at the same time when she left. After the shooting got cancelled in Srinagar, even the shooting at Manali was not smooth sailing. First, Sanju aggravated his shoulder injury while practicing hand-to-hand combat for the action sequences. Then the shooting got disrupted because of the weather conditions in Manali and a landslide. Hardly had he gotten over the shooting fiasco that he heard about the termination of his contract with Ekta Kapoor. This was no way to announce such a huge business reversal.” Source

Sanjay is no more interested to work with Ekta Kappor

TV Queen Ekta Kapoor has fallen out with movie star turned producer Sanjay Dutt according to newspaper reports. Both Ekta and Sanjay had signed a deal worth Rs 500 crore back in July to make 9 films under the banners of Balaji Motion Pictures and Sanjay Dutt Productions. An Indian newspaper quotes a source as saying, “Though Balaji sold ‘ EMI ’ to Sahara, they suffered losses too. Ekta is disgruntled about the way ‘ EMI ’ was promoted. The lack of commitment and interest by some stars has upset her a lot. Sanjay Dutt would star in all 9 of these films as the lead hero and he would be getting an initial Rs 5 crore for the agreement. However, Sanjay has now returned the money to Ekta saying that he is no more interested in working with her. At the last ‘ EMI ’ press conference held a couple of days before the release only Ekta and her dad were present, neither Sunil Shetty (co-producer) nor Dutt showed up. Balaji wants accountability in all its operations and o

Kidnap

When you carry the baggage of super-successful films like Dhoome and Dhoom 2, the expectations from your subsequent outing is bound to be gargantuan. Unfortunately, Kidnap falls short of expectations. You expect a seven course meal, but you're served mere crumbs. Let's introspect. Where does it falter? The boy versus man concept holds tremendous scope and writer Shibani Bathija could've come up with an enthralling revenge drama. But Kidnap fumbles, stumbles and falls on its face. The cat-n-mouse game is hardly enticing and that is its biggest drawback. Kidnap comes close to Zinda in terms of plotline. There're similarities between the two films. But Kidnap isn't as dark and gruesome as Zinda. Also, Kidnap loses focus after a promising start. The hallmark of any revenge fare is the suspense quotient. In this case, there's a motive behind what Imran does. And money is definitely not the motive here. So far, so good. But the purpose of kidnapping the billionaire

But not like this! Apparently, this area has never had so much rain. Everyday we're losing precious time. Today again, we're stuck indoo

Hrithik can dance and sing, saala!

Move aside, Abhishek Bachchan. To the back of the class, Sanjay Dutt. Another star has come forward to add vocal power to his performance on screen. And he is Hrithik Roshan . The buzz is that the desi superhero, like others before him including Big B, Aamir Khan , Salman Khan and Govinda, has sung a song for his next big film Kites. It co-stars the American beauty Barbara Mori and Bollywood bombshell Kangana Ranaut. But clearly, if Hrithik has taken the mike for Kites , then that is what audiences will be keen on taking note of. Papa Roshan, the original high-flier of the family, chose not to acknowledge or deny the news that his son was now finding his voice in Bollywood... after, his famous dance steps and his fabulous body. And director Anurag Basu, kept quiet. Perhaps, the next voice we might hear will be that of the singer himself!

Sanjay was armed but not dangerous: court

Mumbai: Actor Sanjay Dutt, who is serving a six-year prison sentence for illegal arms possession, cannot be declared a terrorist merely because he had an AK-56 gun during the 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, the judge who sentenced him has said. P D Kode, judge of the special TADA court in Mumbai, says in his judgment Dutt was tried and convicted under the Arms Act because he didn’t regard the actor as a terrorist. Kode, in his 4340-page and 25-kg judgment copy, says that circumstances have an important role to play in the way a person reacts to a situation and different people react in different ways. Dutt owned an unauthorised 9 mm pistol and then acquired the AK-56 days before the blasts on December 13, 1993 but that does not prove he intended to use the guns for terrorist activities. The judgment says that Dutt did meet gangster Dawood Ibrahim and his brother Anees, who allegedly organized the bomb attacks, but that does not prove he knew that a terrorist attack was being planned. sou
