While the names of Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan popped up, filmmaker Karan Johar clarifies that no one has been finalised to play the part Amitabh Bachchan immortalised in the original. "I haven't made any statement whatsoever around the man who would eventually be playing the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan that was made iconic by Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Well, we won’t keep you guessing, it’s Hrithik Roshan. After a long deliberation, Karan Johar has finally zeroed down on Hrithik for the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in his remake of Agneepath . Hrithik was in two minds of stepping into Big B’s shoes earlier, also he was committed to Vishal Bharadwaj’s untitled film after he completed shooting for Guzaarish . Due to which Karan Johar decided to bring Abhishek Bachchan on board as he had always wanted to reprise his father’s national award winning role. But now Hrithik has finally agreed, a source confirmed “Hrithik has now given a go ahead to the remake of Agneepath considering the universal appeal of the film. He is also keen to do Vishal’s film but has, for now, put that film on the backburner. Kajol teams up with director Karan Johar and Sharukh Khan after a long gap of eight years. Their earlier ventures Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham were all blockbusters. With Kajol’s marriage to Ajay Devgan and the eventual motherhood, the actress was not seen in the film circuit as often as her fans would have liked. The lady has now signed up My Name is Khan, which has SRK in the lead. The shooting of My Name is Khan began last week in Los Angeles. Karan Johar opined that he did not feel any different directing Kajol after such a long time. He added that the on screen chemistry between Shahrukh Khan had remained the same.
