Hrithik Roshan's Michael Jackson moment

The story’s been doing the rounds since December 2008, but Hrithik Roshan only now produced this picture of his unexpected and eventful meeting with Michael Jackson in LA last year. Maybe he didn’t think it was a big deal earlier, but now with Jackson dead, and looking at the worldwide mourning for the King of Pop — Hrithik couldn’t help sharing his moment with the great singer. According to the Roshans, Jackson casually walked into Hrithik’s makeup room in a Bel Air apartment in LA, where the actor was shooting for Kites. The story goes that first Jackson’ bodyguards entered. Hrithik was taken aback to see the burly men. On questioning them, he learned that they were Jackson’s bodyguards come to do a recce as the pop star was shooting the next day at the same venue. Coincidentally, Jackson also dropped in the same day as the Kites team was shooting. “My name is Michael,” he is reported to have told Hrithik, his Mexican co-star Barbara Mori, and Rakesh Roshan. “It was funny to see some

Bollywood Hunk Hrithik Roshan as Jesus Christ

Not since Mel Gibson cast James Caviezel as Jesus in his 2004 film The Passion of The Christ, has there been any comparison between an actor and the Lord. But now several Latin American distributors, who saw the international version of Rakesh Roshan’s Kites, are stunned by Hrithik’s resemblance to Jesus Christ in the film. It’s been two weeks since the Bollywood film was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, but the buzz around it still continues at the French Riviera. And, another thing, if the Mexican actress Barbara Mori has taken Bollywood by storm, Hrithik has done the same thing in Latin America. Foreign distributors were reportedly taken up by the searing intensity in his eyes, his lithe frame and Adonis-like tan. Some of them were heard commenting that Hrithik would be the ideal actor to play Christ in a western production. Rakesh Roshan, who was present at Cannes, admits there was huge excitement among the foreign distributors who saw his international trailer. “A lot of peo

Hrithik Roshan: I kissed Barbara the way real couples would

Hrithik Roshan has made news for a lip-lock again, this time with Latin co-star Barbara Mori in "Kites". But the actor says she helped him discard his inhibitions and they kissed like real-life couples. "Why are we even talking about kissing? Is that such a big deal? Hasn't our cinema grown up? Yes, there're kissing scenes in the film, but nothing to make me squirm. In fact, I'd be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released," said Hrithik. The star had scorched the headlines when he locked lips with Aishwarya Rai in "Dhoom 2" and "Jodhaa Akbar". Rationalizing the need to look at lip-locking, Hrithik said: " 'Kites' is a love story. It's about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact, it was Barbara Mori who made me realize how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing lov

Barbara Mori is expected this week in Mumbai. The actress hails from Mexico, where the dreaded swine flu originated. It is believed that it was friend and co-star Hrithik Roshan who asked the Mexican actress to fly down to the city, till the flu situation was in control. A source reveals, "Barbara returned back home to Mexico after the schedule of Kites in India was done. She also had to get back so to be with her son. The actress has been gone for over a month now; however her brother Kintaro Mori stayed back in India. Says a source close to the actor, "When Hrithik heard of of the swine flu in Mexico, he called Barbara and asked her to fly down to India pronto." Sources from the Kite unit insist that Barbara is landing in the city with her mom and son tomorrow. The Mori family will be put up in a guesthouse in the suburbs. The actress will stay in India for till the epidemic settles down. She will also begin her dance rehearsals for the remaining schedule, and finish p
