The character is likely to portray the disturbances caused by the external elements in India by provoking regionalism. Khan confirmed the story saying, “In my earlier film also, I have portrayed how certain corrupt politicians are exploiting regional sentiments to garner votes. My new film will go a step further.” Meanwhile, taking potshots at Pakistani artistes visiting India, Khan said the performers from the neighbouring country should not be allowed to perform in India.
