Most Promising Star - Asin Thottumkal

Ever since Bollywood New Actress Asin Thottumkal made her sensational debut in Bollywood, with ‘Ghajini’ the actress is not looking back. She is going strong and completes the year pretty well with a good number of awards in het kitty.

It all started with the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and she went on to win most of the Debutant Awards. With two Filmfare Awards in South and one in North Asin Thottumkal already bagged three Filmfare Awards very early in her career.

Now she wins the “Lux-Sabse Tez Sitara’ forming the most happening actress of the year. Apart from films she also had coveted brand endorsements and a film with Bollywood Rock Star Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Asin Thottumkal also got the Kalaimamani Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu and the best actress Anandalok Award for her ‘Ghajini’.

Telugu Chandramukhi 2

Director P. Vasu has begun the shooting of the movie Chandramukhi 2, the Telugu remake of Kannada blockbuster Aptha Rakshaka (2010), which is also planned to be remade in Tamil. The film was launched recently at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad with Tollywood's Filmmaker Puri Jaganath giving the first clap. The Telugu version, which stars Victory Venkatesh in the lead with five heroines (Anushka, Priyamani, Sraddha Das, Sneha and Richa Gangopadhyay), is produced by Bellamkonda Suresh of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions. According to some sources, the makers are considering Panchamukhi (A girl with five faces) as its title; however, official confirmation is awaited. Guru Kiran will score music, while Shyam K. Tees Maar Khan is an Action / Comedy film directed by Farah Khan featuring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif in the lead roles and Akshay Khanna in a cameo. Salman Khan has done an item song for the film.
