Bollywood Rock Star Salman Khan hosted a dinner for the IPL team Pune Warriors last night. It was an impromptu party held at Salman Khan’s temporary house in Film City where he is shooting for Bodyguard. Though the Pune team lost the match to Chennai but it didn’t dampen Salman’s spirit to treat the young cricketers. A source says, “Salman is very close to Subrata Roy of Sahara Group who owns the team and his sister Arpita Khan is a close pal of the captain of Pune team, Yuvraj Singh. Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is Back Once Again, and all set to host the popular and Super hit reality game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. This is the fifth season. “Preparing now for KBC next season starting I think in a few months… creative and promo discussions today … very interesting,” Bachchan said on micro-blogging site Twitter yesterday. The superstar made his first appearence on Indian Television with the first season of KBC aired in the year 2000. Bollywood Actor Ajay Devgan is all set to play a double role for Abbas-Mastan next. Says a source, “The Shemaroo project has Ajay essaying both positive and negative characters. The story revolves around a robbery. Ajay Devgan has wanted to play a grey character for some time now and was waiting for the right time. When the director duo narrated the character of an intelligent conman, he was very excited. Abhishek Bachchan has been replaced by Rana Daggubati in Ram Gopal Varma’s upcoming action thriller Department, which additionally headlines Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Kangana Ranaut. Varma tweeted: “Due to date prblms to match combination with other actors I am going ahead wth Rana daggubati instead of Abhishek bacchan in Department” In the film, Amitabh Bachchan plays a gangster turned politician, Sanjay Dutt and Rana Daggubati play cops. The story focuses on the unconventional methods used by three cops in the course of their duty. Kangana, the only headlining actress in the film, plays Daggubati’s wife and soul-mate. According to Varma, “It is very much a guys’ film, with only one major female character.” “She plays a very intense role in this dark, gritty and real drama,” he says. No one realized Salman was on the streets filming as the cameras whirred silently, neither the public, nor the press.. According to a source, “The shot required Salman to follow a female character but the most interesting part was Salman went completely unnoticed, It was a series of quick shots. There are a lot of shops in that area and many tourists also frequent the place everyday in thousands yet no one recognized Salman as he whizzed past them!” Aamir Khan had pulled off a similar guerrilla shoot during the filming of Dhobi Ghat last year, when he shot during the holy month of Ramzan in the crowded and predominantly Muslim locality of Bhendi Bazaar in South Mumbai.

Bollywood Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali says that he is “obsessed” with Bollywood Actress Madhuri Dixit, perhaps even more than M F Hussain. “In my every film I wanted to direct Madhuri… right from ‘Khamoshi’ to this date. I am obsessed with her. No other director is as obsessed as me about Madhuri,” Bhansali told. Madhuri essayed the role of Chandramukhi in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Devdas’ (2002). “I waited for two-and-half years during ‘Khamoshi’ at her door to ask her to read the script but I couldn’t get through to her. Bollywood Rock Star Salman Khan insisted on adapting Ringa Ringa a hit Telugu song from Arya 2 and transformed it to Dhinka Chika for his upcoming movie. Not just that, he was unhappy with the lyrics of the Hindi film’s song and asked them to be changed. A source revealed, “Salman always gets what he wants. He has a great rapport with the Ready producer Bhushan Kumar. He rang him up saying the song needs new lyrics. In fact he refused to shoot for the song until they came up with better lyrics. Unlike many film makers who choose to shoot in real locations when it comes to shooting in forests, Shirish Kunder will build a set of a forest in Mumbai for his big budgeted 3D tale.. “If the film would have been shot in a real location, the cost may not have been so high. However Shirish Kunder wasn’t happy with a real forest since he wants to build a fantastical world for JOKER. Bollywood Dabangg Actor Salman Khan’s upcoming film Ready sees him acting in his typical Dabangg style and the filmmakers admit that they are trying to cash in on the superstar’s image of Chulbul Pandey which made fans go gaga over him. “We are taking advantage of Dabangg behind Ready. We are not even trying to hide that and are in fact reflecting it in the promos as well,” Co-producer of Ready, Bhushan Kumar said. Salman Khan too wanted the promos of Ready to convey the Dabangg image. The film has many similarities with Dabangg with respect to Salman’s body language, dialogues and his mannerisms. It is also heard that the marketing and publicity formula of Ready is along the same lines as that of Dabangg. Kumar also justified the focus on Salman Khan in the film’s promos.
